In partnership with IEMCA to build 1,012 rooms.
Madrid, Spain. – The Velutini and IEMCA Groups come together to develop a tourism project in Playa Dorada, Puerto Plata, which will provide 1,012 additional rooms to the hotel offer on the north coast of the country.
The new Green One Playa Dorada project will be built with an investment of over one hundred million dollars, generating more direct and indirect jobs for Puerto Plata, strengthening the growth of Dominican tourism and the economy of the area.
The first phase of the project will be the total remodeling of 17 villas and 9 buildings of three levels that exist in the hotel Puerto Plata Village and the construction of a new hotel of 175 rooms for a total of 445 and a beach club of 300 meters, which will begin in the first quarter of this year and its conclusion is projected at the end of it.
The information was released by Brahim Selman, of the IEMCA Group and Luis Emilio Velutini, together with the Minister of Tourism, Francisco Javier García, within the framework of the celebration of the 39th version of the International Tourism Fair (FITUR), which develops in the Iberian nation.
The second phase will consist of the construction of a 175-room hotel and three seven-story buildings, which will house 343 additional rooms.
Meanwhile, in the last stage 4 buildings of seven levels will be added, totaling 224 more rooms and at the entrance of the project a shopping center with eight stores will be built.
In this sense, the Minister of Tourism congratulated the investors for this alliance, with IEMCA being a successful group in tourism and the main ones in Puerto Plata, as well as Venutini, large developers in Santo Domingo and Punta Cana, and now moving to the north coast.
“The Venutini group has a strategic vision for investment and this time sees conditions of evidence of development and progress for Puerto Plata decides to make this alliance with the Selman,” said Garcia Fernandez.
